Bi-State Regional Infectious Disease Conference Awards
Infection Prevention Practitioner Award
Purpose of award: The Infection Prevention Practitioner Award is given in recognition of one Infection Prevention Professional who has displayed outstanding performance.
Criteria: Recipient must be an Infection Prevention Professional who has served the Infection Prevention community as a whole through education and work efforts.
Selection Process:: Recipient chosen by local APIC Chapter 73 Board members.
Public Health Award
Purpose of award: The intent of the Public Health Award is to recognize one individual who has demonstrated a profound level of dedication and professionalism to public health and to the identification and control of communicable diseases.
Criteria: Recipient must be a professional in the field of Public Health or Infectious Disease who through education, research, or practical science has positively contributed to the prevention and control of infectious disease.
Selection process: Recipient chosen by Bi-State Conference Committee members.
Partnership Award
Purpose of award: The Partnership Award is given in recognition of the outstanding performance and/or support of an individual, agency or group in coordination with the infectious disease staff at a local health department or hospital.
Criteria: Recipient must be an individual, agency or group which has contributed to the support of public health of the St. Louis Metropolitan area through communication, education and prevention/control efforts of infectious diseases. The emphasis is on the outside synergistic efforts with other entities in the community.
Selection process: Recipient will be chosen by the Bi-State Infectious Disease Committee.
